A year of ARENA culture
As you have been able to follow throughout 2024 through the different articles published in CreArena, as well as in the various publications on our corporate social networks, we have experienced a year in which, among other things, our ARENA culture has been present at all times.
Training and growth: our commitment to talent
We have continued working on providing official training and certifications that boost the careers of our ARENA team members. We remain strongly committed to equal opportunities, implementing tailored selection processes and creating growth opportunities based on meritocracy and responsibility. We believe in young talent, which is why we offer our students (after completing their training) the opportunity to join the ARENA family.
With all of this, the ARENA Team has continued to grow throughout 2024. All of us at ARENA have worked in alignment with our principles, striving daily to achieve our goals, and giving our best with professionalism and a passion for what we do.
ARENA principles in action: values that guide us
At the beginning of this year, we discussed the impact of the previous year, 2023, on our Cultural Transformation Plan, which we have continued to develop throughout 2024.
To this end, the Change Agents and Sponsors group was created. This group works daily on communication, information sharing, and knowledge acquisition, ensuring a presence in our colleagues’ daily lives so that the integration of our values becomes even more deeply ingrained in our daily operations.
These values are present in our work, with “We Are One” as our guiding principle. We actively collaborate across departments, for example, with Wegen and FMS, who work together daily on projects.
Our Marketing colleagues, for instance, have “Beyond Our Limits” as their mantra, constantly surprising us with their initiatives. “Beta always on” has allowed us to remain focused on new opportunities and even keeps us alert to potential changes that may be necessary.
Always committed to excellence and responsibility in our work, relying on “In Arena We Trust.” And, of course, “Feel Arena,” which keeps us working with enthusiasm and motivation towards our common goal.
Initiatives that strengthen our cohesion
We’ve focused on team cohesion and teamwork, implementing various initiatives to achieve this. These ranged from events during Health Week, where we included family members in a scavenger hunt along the Madrid Río riverfront, to meet & greet events, and the first Arena Day, where different team-building activities allowed us to focus on cultural aspects.
Furthermore, in the last few months of the year, we collaborated with Adopta un Abuelo (Adopt a Grandparent), becoming Hackers for a Day, helping them develop their technological skills, and learning from their experiences.
But the activities don’t stop there. We closed out the year with our Annual Christmas Gala, which included the “Principles that Conquer” awards, based on our core values, our participation in the corporate race, and, of course, our popular cooking competition.
Through all these actions, we have fostered a positive and productive work environment, promoting unity and teamwork, actively collaborating, getting to know each other better, and providing opportunities for active collaboration in our daily work.
Ultimately, despite working in different areas or departments, it is important to have role models we can turn to and from whom we can incorporate new knowledge into our daily routines.
Looking to the future
Looking ahead to 2025, we want to continue working in the same vein of teamwork, cohesion, and responsibility. Our culture must remain an integral part of our daily work and commitment, helping us to continue collaborating closely across departments and driving our common goal: to conquer the future of the financial sector together!
