Health Week at ARENA: 360º wellness for all ARENA residents
At ARENA, we believe that working well begins with feeling good. That’s why, once again this year, we’re excited and enthusiastically celebrating our 5th annual Health Week, an initiative designed to focus on the comprehensive well-being of those who make ARENA’s day-to-day work possible and our shared commitment to the future of the financial sector.
Well-being as a real company value
At ARENA, wellness isn’t a trend: it’s a culture. We want team members to be happy at work, but also to be able to take care of themselves inside and outside the office, at their own pace, with real tools and activities that add value.
This special week is a way to reconnect with that vision: to stop, breathe, share, and return to the essentials. Because when we’re well, everything flows better: ideas, teams, energy, and even good humor in meetings.
5 pillars of well-being, 5 days full of energy
This year, we structured the week around the five pillars of holistic well-being: 🧠Mental 🏃♂️Physical 🤝Social 💼Professional 💰Financial
Each day, a theme. And within each theme, an experience designed to enhance health, awareness, and quality of life.
Monday - Professional Health: Wake up & Wellness to start the day right
How does a healthy team breakfast sound… that you prepare yourself? This was our Wake Up & Wellness workshop: In true MasterChef style, we organized into groups to create healthy smoothies and snacks.
Fruits, seeds, oats, laughter, and lots of creativity. The best came next: we tried all the creations and voted on our favorites. A nutritious and 100% collaborative breakfast that set the tone for a very special week.
Wednesday - Mental Health: Laughter Therapy to Let Go and Reconnect
We started Wednesday like we did when we were kids: laughing, playing, letting go of filters and tensions. In the laughter therapy workshop, we gave ourselves permission to not take ourselves so seriously, to connect with our bodies through emotion, and to share a unique experience.
We left with a different energy, lighter, and, above all, with a smile that lasted all day.
Thursday - Physical and Social Health: Outdoor AfterworkOut
On Thursday, we swapped the typical “afternoon” for something more powerful: a functional team workout outdoors, to move our bodies, release endorphins, and share effort and laughter.
Burpees, sweat, and good vibes. That was our AfterworkOut. And, as a reward, a healthy snack and a final toast, because taking care of yourself also means celebrating together.
Friday - Financial Health: Keys to a Healthy Relationship with Your Money
Our Friday chat with financial health expert Jorge Mijangos opened our eyes to a topic we often overlook: financial health.
We learned how to identify goals, use useful tools, and make more conscious decisions regarding our money. It was an enjoyable, engaging, and, above all, very practical session.
The “healthy treat”: the best is yet to come
The cherry on top of the week was supposed to be our final activity: El Capricho Saludable, a mindful walk through Parque del Capricho to move our bodies, chat, and reconnect with nature (and each other), accompanied by our family and friends.
However, the weather wasn’t good, and we had to postpone it. We took it as a perfect excuse to resume it soon and continue sharing moments outside of our usual surroundings. We now have a new date to celebrate!
A week to take care of ourselves, a commitment for the whole year
Health Week reminds us of something essential: that well-being isn’t limited to specific days, but must be part of our way of living and working, every week, every day.
We will continue to strive for humane, healthy, and sustainable work environments, where people are truly at the center. Because it’s not about performing better: it’s about living better.
All of this, moreover, aligns with our conscious commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and especially SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
Promoting healthy habits is not just a matter of social responsibility; it’s a way of building a future through everyday life and taking care of what’s most important: our neighbors.
