The keys to corporate communication in ARENA
What is corporate communication?
Corporate communication encompasses the entire process of information transmission, both formal and informal, between a company and its employees.
Therefore, effective communication at the corporate level inherently fosters the achievement of shared goals by aligning all parties and promoting a positive work environment through timely and up-to-date information on various topics.
Effective communication
We speak of effective communication at the business level when each employee has the opportunity to share ideas, thoughts, knowledge, and information with their colleagues in a clear and effective way.
This type of communication is important because, firstly, it enables effective communication that boosts productivity while improving workplace relationships. Secondly, having the opportunity to share information of any kind fosters trust, empathy, and active listening, as well as helping to prevent or solve problems.
It’s worth noting that not all messages have the same characteristics, nor are they always directed at the entire company. Rather, it depends on the type of content or information being conveyed, reaching all employees or specific work teams.
These types of communication can occur through different channels, either informally, without a specific information transmission channel, or formally, through a designated channel. The different channels and the way we communicate it are part of our DNA and corporate culture.
Communication channels
At ARENA, we use different types of communication channels, the most frequent being:
• Teams: as a daily communication tool among ARENA members. With it, we can stay connected at any time, whether or not we belong to the same team. It helps us share information and ideas, “have a virtual coffee,” and create a community and workspace suited to each ARENA member’s daily life.
• Emails: used by all teams, with different forwarders depending on the type of content and its frequency.
• Every month, all ARENA members receive a newsletter, which keeps us informed about news, new colleagues, events, contests, projects, etc. It’s a useful way to stay up-to-date on everything that’s happening.
• Depending on the type of information and the time, we may receive information from specific departments or individuals, such as Talent & People or the CEO.
• Intranet: This includes various types of documents, policies, and resources that can be accessed at any time to find relevant information. It also contains recent news and important content that should always be readily available, such as cultural principles.
• Team meetings: These are also considered a communication channel due to the importance of their content. They are used to share completed work, discuss new projects, and address important or urgent tasks. This ensures the team is aligned and informed about everything happening in each area or department.
• Events: These bring team members from all areas and departments together in person to share ideas and time, fostering a sense of belonging and a positive work environment.
At ARENA, we strive to continuously improve our internal communication processes, fostering trust and transparency. As mentioned previously, our communication channels and well-structured organization enhance team collaboration, provide a sense of security, drive progress and commitment, and ultimately help promote ARENA’s culture.
