The Challenge
Cecabank’s risk area is divided into three departments: Risk Analysis and Control, Market Risk, Balance Sheet and Liquidity, and Pricing and Methodological Control. The entity has raised the need to update, optimise and automate all its internal control processes.
The Strategy
The ARENA Financial Tech team designs and creates a series of functionalities such as:
- Depository, Depository VaR, Theoretical Futures and Effectiveness Test.
- Query and Report Generator. Administration.
- ALM, Market Risk and Reconciliation. Worked in Java, Angular, Vue.js environments. REST communication. Online + Batch. Relational databases.

The Results
The creation and implementation of these functionalities achieved the following: Minimised operational risk: centralised everything in a web application. Centralised and unified data: central repository that improves data quality. Automated processes: reduced time to gain space for analysis and the inclusion of new tasks. Reduced costs: elimination of unnecessary steps and manual work, duplication of information sources, etc.
