The Challenge
This division of Cecabank (part of the Risk Area) requires our support in its functions related to the valuation of financial products. ARENA Financial Tech’s support minimises operational risk, optimises processes and adapts them to new requirements. In turn, we contribute to greater efficiency by eliminating unnecessary costs.
The Strategy
The ARENA Financial Tech team configures the products, as well as feeding, maintaining and validating the inputs required for the valuation of financial products. We carry out the execution and control of the valuation processes, their reconciliation and reporting. This also includes the development of new valuation libraries and/or the improvement of existing ones. To achieve this, we work on:
- Matlab
- Visual Basic
- Sources of information (Reuters y Bloomberg)

The results
The support of the ARENA Financial Tech team is proving essential for Cecabank, as our proposal has replaced office automation processes and centralised the process from an internal application. In turn, unnecessary steps have been eliminated and times reduced, and the cost of employees involved in carrying out the process has also been reduced. Furthermore, auditor requirements have been improved with new controls.
