Standardization of structured products
The Challenge
Investment Mapfre needs to centralise and map its structured product offering. This includes different options for product parameterisation, underlying assets and associated assets. A system is required for alerts on underlying asset performance, coupon definitions, windows, etc., as well as the ability to enter underlying assets from different types of systems.
The Strategy
The ARENA Financial Tech team designs and creates an ad hoc tool that allows you to define and track the evolution of structured products, including reports, alerts, and underlying asset monitoring. To achieve this, we work in the following environment:

The results
All management tasks that were previously carried out in separate files and spreadsheets have now been centralised, giving all users shared access. In addition, alerts are sent regarding changes in underlying assets and other parameterised conditions. This reduces operational risk, facilitates access for all users and organises data so that it can be used for reporting purposes.
